Shiny Pokémon are a rarity to the Pokémon games, and these variants have a distinct color appearance from their traditional look. A shiny variant is extremely rare. Traditionally, each encounter with a Pokémon in the wild comes with a chance for it to be a shiny version, accompanied by a variety of small sparkles when it first appears. In Pokémon Masters, you can acquire a shiny Pokémon by hatching it from an egg.

The eggs you receive from Professor Bellis by completing main story steps or training areas in the game have a chance to contain a shiny version of a Pokémon from the available pool that hatch from it. Right now, the only available Pokémon you can receive from eggs and have it become a shiny is Tauros. When you hatch a Pokémon from an egg, you can use it as your sync pair, allowing you to show off your shiny with friends in co-op battles. A Pokémon hatched from an egg will have a different role and passive from its traditional, non-hatched variant. You want to consistently hatch these Pokémon to receive a new role and passive that will complement fit your playstyle.

These are the available Pokémon that you can hatch from eggs in Pokémon Masters:

  • TaurosMeowth (female)Bellsprout (female)Nidoran (female)Zubat (male only)Rattata (male only)

The gendered variants of the Pokémon listed above will their gendered counterparts joining Pokémon Masters in the future, and you will be able to hatch those when they release. You can expect more shiny versions of Pokémon to release to the game in the coming future, but hatching them, so far, is the only method to attain them.
