In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Sandy Shocks is one of the rarest spawns in the Paldea region. The ancient Paradox Magneton form can only be caught in one location on the map after it’s been unlocked in the Gen 9 campaign.

Where to catch Sandy Shocks (Paradox Magneton) in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The ancient version of Magneton first becomes available after you have completed the Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends campaigns. Once the three storylines are defeated, you will automatically unlock a secret fourth campaign that takes you to Area Zero in the middle of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet map. Sandy Shocks only spawns in the Great Crater of Paldea. After you have completed the game’s main story, you will be able to find Paradox Magneton in the location detailed below.

Where is Sandy Shocks spawn location in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The quickest way to find Sandy Shocks is to head to the Zero Gate fast travel point South of Medali City. Next, use the green portal in the middle of the room and warp to Research Station No. 2. After exiting the research station, immediately head north to the pile of rocks beneath the slanted dirt cliff. Sandy Shocks will spawn around the rocks starting at level 58. If you don’t immediately see the Paradox Pokémon, just run back and forth from the research facility until it pops up in the overworld. Sandy Shocks is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, so Pokémon Violet users must trade with another player to get Magneton’s ancient form. However, Sandy Shocks spawns frequently in the Paldea Crater location, so getting an extra one to trade with a second trainer is easy. For more information on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, check out Where to find Roaring Moon Paradox Salamence in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet here on Pro Game Guides.
