From the mind of Anime Fighters Simulator developer daireb, comes a new addition to the grind-and-go family—Anime Training Simulator (ATS). Released on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, ATS invites players to defeat powerful enemies, collect loyal pets, unlock unique abilities, and ultimately train to become the strongest fighter in the world. In this brief guide we’ll be going over where to find pets and how to add them to your growing team.

What do pets do

Pets in ATS serve the simple purpose of boosting your character’s strength. Each pet that you collect is given its own unique ability, and each ability that you unlock can be applied to your character. Pets with lower rarities will have less intense abilities, while those with higher rarities will offer much higher character buffs.

How to get pets

In order to unlock pets, you’ll need a hefty amount of Siprit. Spirit acts as one of the forms of currency in ATS and can be obtained by defeating enemies. To gain Spirit quickly, we’d recommend taking down the larger bosses as often as possible.

Once you’ve filled your pockets with Spirit, keep your eyes open for Pet Machines—you should see PET MACHINE in large pink letters hovering above them. There is one Pet Machine located in each area.

The Pet Machine in the Training Area will cost 150 Spirit per pet, and though the chance of earning a rare pet from this machine is very low, it’s still the best way to gain strength quickly in the beginning. After paying 150 Spirit to the machine, a box will shoot out of the top and land in front of you. The material of the box will key you as to which rarity of pet you have received.

A wooden box is the lowest rarity, followed by metal, and so on. At the start of your adventure, you will only be able to equip three pets at a time. To equip any three pets of your choosing, click the pet icon on the left side of your screen—here you’ll also be able to see the buffs that your pets offer.

As your character continues to grow and become stronger, more pets will be available for you to collect and equip.
