The open world of Skyrim allows you to do nearly anything you want to do in the game. Something you can do in the game is marry certain characters you encounter during your adventures. You can only start to do this by obtaining the Amulet of Mara, which you can acquire from Maramal for 200 gold. You can find them in two locations: the Temple of Mara or the Bee and Barb, which is a tavern. Both of these locations are in Riften.
When you want to marry someone, make sure you are always wearing the Amulet of Mara. You can verify this from your equipment page in your inventory.
Following this, you need to form a bond with a character in the game. Traditionally, before this happens, you need to do a quest for them, and after you complete the task, you bring up a dialogue tree with them to have a marriage. There’s a wedding ceremony that happens with several other characters connected to the two show up to celebrate the occasion.
