Finding & Using the Iron Gate Key in Escape from Tarkov

Obtaining the Iron Gate Key in Escape from Tarkov is fully dependent on RNG, but sources that the Key can be found in are constant. For reference, this particular Key has a chance of spawning within the pockets of Jackets, inside the Drawers of buildings, or within the pockets and bags of Scavs.

Once players have finally acquired the Iron Gate Key in Escape from Tarkov, they will be able to complete “House Arrest – Part 1” for Skier by finding the location of the prison Skier mentioned. According to YouTuber Piranha, here is a list of steps that players must take to find the Iron Gate Key’s use location: 

  • Step 1: Travel to the Chekannaya 15 Apartment Building on the Streets of Tarkov. It sits across the street from the Sparja Grocery Store and next to the Prestigio Cafe.
  • Step 2: Enter through the crumbled hole on the right-hand side of the apartment building.
  • Step 3: After accessing the interior, head down the hallway on the left and enter the left hole in the wall at the end of the corridor.
  • Step 4: After passing through several bedrooms, players will reach a kitchen, where they must go through a blue doorway on the right.
  • Step 5: Head down the right hallway and through the double-sided doorway. Follow the stairway up to the third floor.
  • Step 6: This floor will have several prison cells. Players can use the Iron Gate Key in Escape from Tarkov to access Cells 4, 2, and 1.
