Disney Dreamlight Valley excited fans with the latest update that brought Scar to the Valley. Alongside that, the character came with new quests and exclusive resources to discover. Among them are Ashes. But you can’t just find Ashes in the game, you have to get them via different means. Once you find Old Bones, you can soon get Ashes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Getting and Planting Ashes in Disney Dreamlight Valley

In the game, Ashes are related to Scar and his quest line. They are also related to Old Bones, a new resource in Disney Dreamlight Valley that came with the Scar update.

So, to find Ashes, you must first find Old Bones. Follow the steps below to move that much closer to gaining Ashes in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  • Speak to Mother Gothel
  • Follow her directions once inside the Vitalys Mines (left, then right, then left again)
  • Collect the bones glittering on the ground
  • Speak to Scar and learn about the volcanic geyser in his home
  • Head to the geyser and add the Old Bones to it
  • Gather your newly acquired Ashes

If you’re naturally following along with Scar’s Disney Dreamlight Valley quests, then you’ll naturally come across the ability to create Ashes. It is not difficult since you don’t need to add anything else to the geyser except for the Old Bones. So, as far as crafting goes, this is straightforward compared to other resources and items you make in the game.

With the Ashes in hand, it’s time to plant them. This is another part that is as simple as it sounds. All you have to do is head outside in the Sunlit Plateau and dig a hole in the ground. Just like you do with other Seeds in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you now must plant the Ashes.

Now, if you wish, you can always make and use the Growth Elixr you learned from the “Nature & Nurture” quest. Use that first before you water it, and you can grow Flower of Bones immediately. If not, you can simply water the Ashes as usual and wait for Flower of Bones to grow.

Afterward, you can craft a new and improved Shovel for your troubles.
