There are seasonal mushrooms you can gather up in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that have various DIY recipes available at certain times. The times for these mushrooms vary, depending on the hemisphere of your island. Those in the southern hemisphere can gather them up during May, and those in the northern hemisphere can harvest them in November.
You can find these mushrooms growing around hardwood trees. They only grow in their available months, so in May and November. If you start seeing them form around your island’s hardwood trees, try to grab as many as you can to store inside of your home. You want to have as many available as possible to craft all of the DIY projects.
