Halloween may only come once a year, but the projects and decorations you can create in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be available any time you want. There are several DIY projects that you can learn how to make by obtaining new recipes after October 1. However, some of them are also only available on Halloween during the big event, which occurs on October 31 from 5 PM to midnight on your island. These recipes usually require you to have various pumpkins, so make sure to grab several seeds and start planting them around your island to prepare for the multiple projects you need to learn.

To learn these recipes, you have to speak to your residents about how to make them. You need to find them in their house crafting a project.

Some of these projects are some you can only earn during the Halloween event. You can earn them by giving residents candy while they trick-or-treat by giving Jack, the resident event coordinator, candy and lollipops during their visit.
