Boon Marrabbio is one of three secret characters that can be unlocked in Vampire Survivors, either through the Secret Menu or by playing the game. Players first need to solve the riddle to unlock him. The riddle says: “Follow the trail after pillaging Pummarola and Skull O’Maniac from the Mad Forest.” This guide will show you how to solve this riddle and get Boon Marrabbio in Vampire Survivors.
How to unlock Boon Marrabbio in Vampire Survivors
To unlock Boon Marrabbio in Vampire Survivors, you must have completed a few requirements and earned a specific Relic called the Yellow Sign. Once that is obtained, go onto the Mad Forest level, get two Relics—Pummarola and Skull O’Maniac—and follow a trail of pies to defeat a shadow boss. Upon their defeat, a pleasant musical jingle will occur, letting you know you have defeated it. Finish the level, die, or quit, and Boon Marrabbio can be purchased for 666 coins from the character selection screen.
The “Follow the trail after pillaging Pummarola and Skull O’Maniac from the Mad Forest” riddle
Solving the Follow the trail after pillaging Pummarola and Skull O’Maniac from the Mad Forest riddle in Vampire Survivors is straightforward. Just follow the steps below:
- First, you need to collect the Yellow Sign. The Yellow Sign can be obtained by unlocking the Holy Forbidden stage and heading east, following the green arrow. Holy Forbidden can be unlocked by defeating the final boss of Moonglow with a non-secret character. Collect 100 Floor Chickens. The game will count all the chickens you picked up before that point in the entire game. You don’t need to do it in a single run. Take Skull O’Maniac and Pummarola in Mad Forest. Both Skull O’Maniac and Pummarola need to be at least at level 1 for this quest. You can also choose them when you level up (which is random) or collect them on the stage, which they will always spawn. Pummarola (Red Heart icon) to the south. A passive item that increases Recovery by 0.2 per level Skull O’Maniac (Skull icon) to the north. It’s a passive item that increases enemy speed, health, quantity, and frequency by 10% If you choose to collect them, we suggest getting Pummarola first because Skull is located closer to the boss. Follow the trail of Pies that start spawning. They will lead you to the boss. He will start moving toward you immediately, but he moves very slowly. If you wander away from the path, you could start moving away from him, so make sure to stay on the trail. The pies will sometimes not be easy to spot due to all the chaos and will spawn less frequently the closer you are to the boss’ location so keep your eyes open.
How to beat Boon Marrabbio in Vampire Survivors
Defeating Boon Marrabbio in Vampire Survivors is best done in a battle of attrition due to his large health pool. He has no ranged ability besides a small fireball that you can avoid easily. He moves very slowly, so you’ll be able to outrun him and kite him around. He has an incredibly high amount of HP, so he will take quite a while to kill. Let your abilities clear a path in front of you while he chases you and keep dealing damage to him.
