As players start on their journey to explore this world, however, they may begin to wonder if there’s a faster and more efficient way to do so instead of running from place to place—luckily, there is! In the brief guide below, we’ll show you how you can simulate flight by utilizing Shindo Life’s hidden tree jumping mechanic.
How to tree jump
While Shindo Life lacks any kind of flight-specific ability, there isn’t an Element or Bloodline that gives the user the ability to fly. It does have a workaround that many players don’t know about—tree jumping. To accomplish this hidden trick, simply find any tree along with the map and climb to its peak. To climb a tree, walk up to it and press the spacebar—your character will automatically stand on its trunk.
Once your feet are planted on the trunk, no pun intended, hold down your movement keys + Shift to run forward like normal—after a few seconds, you should reach the top of the tree. If you reach the top and experience the glitch where you don’t see your character, pressing the spacebar should make them appear.
Now, simply run forward, hold the spacebar, and aim your cursor at wherever you’d like to fly to. Upon letting go of the spacebar, your character will be launched in the direction you’re pointing.
The length of time in which you can fly is related to your stamina bar—once you run out of stamina, your character will stop flying immediately and fall to the ground. To fly again, simply find another tree and repeat the steps above!
