There have been a few new additions into the Dead Space remake since the original, including the Comms Array Puzzle, which can be difficult to figure out how to fix. This might be a bit of a surprise to some of the original Dead Space players since it was never in the original game from 2008. You will encounter the Comms Array Puzzle shortly after you complete Chapter 7 and head to the Bridge. You’ll learn that a military vessel reacts to your distress beacon, but the comms are down. Dead Space Remake: How to Fix the Comms Array Puzzle
The first thing you’ll need to do is clear the array and explore the area. As you explore the area, you’ll know when you’re where you need to be, as the Comms Array is pretty hard to miss. When you reach the second floor of the Communications Hub, you will find the Communications Array, a large, hexagon-shaped room. Just before the Comms Array, you will pass through the Communications Control Room. While in the Communications Control room, Isaac and Kendra will talk for a while.
Once you find yourself in the Communications Array, there will be two Lurkers, along with two Leapers. Take out the Necromorphs and take a look around, since the place is quite large. In the front portion of the room, you can find a panel that shows the Comms Array’s current status. When you first arrive, it will read “NO POWER TO CENTRAL NODE.” Now, you know that you need to reconnect power to the central node.
Throughout the room there will be damaged communications dishes along with ones that are still fully intact. The intact communications dishes will show a glowing white symbol on them, while the damaged ones will have orange symbols on them, indicating that they are not currently working. If you look around some more, you’ll find that one wall is covered by a flesh pit.
First, you’ll need to organize communications dishes with white symbols on them and move them to the front of the room. The lines that are glowing on the front of them show which direction they transfer power.
There will be a dish that is to the left of the power source, the beginning of our power. Take the remaining intact communications dishes and rearrange them so that power is brought back to the main node, bringing the power back on in the Comms Array.
