As Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, you can own several different horses. Some are better suited for battles, while others are built for pure speed. But if you’re after a truly unique looking horse that people around town will comment on, you should brave the cold and head into the mountains in search of this white Arabian horse.
Where to Find a White Horse
There is a white Arabian horse located around Lake Isabella in the northwestern region of the map. This is close to where Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story began, so make sure you pack a warm outfit as Arthur will quickly lose health if not dressed for the conditions.
Typically the white Arabian can be found near the lake itself, and you can spot it during the day if you look closely. Its white fur tends to blend into the snow. Often it’s easier to listen for its sounds, but be careful, it will bolt if you get too close.
Once you’ve spotted her, get off your horse and approach slowly. Target the white horse and calm her when the UI tells you to. Eventually, you will get close enough to mount her, at which point you’ll still need to break her. This can be a challenging task, especially if you’re unlucky enough and find her hiding near the many trees and steep slopes. It took me several days to tame her as Arthur had turned into a bumbling idiot that fell over every stick on the ground, scaring the white Arabian in the process.
Pro tip: If you lose sight of the white horse and can’t find her again, reload a recent save. Many times she’ll have respawned near your location, giving you another easy chance to tame her.
Once you’ve broken her in, make sure to remove your saddle from your previous horse and place it on the white Arabian to make her your main horse. You can then stable or sell your previous horse. The white Arabian is an elite horse that’s not just beautiful but also very fast and tough. Townsfolks will comment on her beauty as you ride by, and her white coat makes it very obvious when it’s time to brush her.
