Gems are one of the very important and difficult-to-find collectibles in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Not only do they give access to trophies, but they also unlock a hidden level if you find them. On top of that, finding all four will also unlock a large door in the game, which has yet another exciting level hidden behind it. If you are looking for the blue gem in the game, here is how to find it.
The blue gem is located in the Draggin’ On level in the Tranquility Falls dimension. It will award you with the Sapphire-er Acquirer trophy. Acquiring this gem might sound easy since all you have to do is get past the level without breaking any crates. However, it gets a lot harder when you consider the fact that you can’t touch checkpoint boxes as well.
While it might be difficult to get at the end of the level without breaking any crates, there are a few trips and tricks you can use to get through it easily. Firstly, you need to use the bonus level as your checkpoint, and that will be your only checkpoint in the level. Secondly, if you hit a crate, you don’t have to start the level over but can just let yourself die, which will reset the count when you respawn.
Finally, you need to be extra careful when you get the Dark Matter mask. That’s because it destroys crates in your vicinity, so you need to be sure that you are not using it when there is a box near you. Once you are at the very end of the level where the destroyed crate count shows 0/139, you will see the Blue gem spawn in front of you. Pick it up and you will get the Sapphire-er Acquirer trophy.
