Unlockable with TM 026, Poison Tail is a Poison-type Move in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that unleashes an attack with an increased chance of dealing critical damage and potentially poisoning the target. This Move is Super Effective against Grass-type opponents like Sunflora or Lilligant and Fairy-type Pokémon such as Jigglypuff or Kirlia. Trainers can teach Poison Tail to eighteen different Poison-type pocket monsters, such as Grafaiai, Skuntank, and Salazzle. Players have multiple options for unlocking TM 026, as it can be earned from exploration or a specific Trainer battle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. 

Finding and Crafting Poison Tail TM in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

One of the easiest spots to find the Poison Tail TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the hedge maze in Artazon, located in East Province (Area One). This maze can be encountered on the northern side of town. After entering, players must take one left and three right turns to find the TM in the northernmost corner.

How to craft TM 047 Endure in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

According to Game8, another way to get the Poison Tail TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is by defeating the Team Star Dark Crew Leader. Poison Tail can also be found near the center of the Dalizapa Passage, east of Medali. Regardless of where or how Trainers manage to get Poison Tail, they can craft its recipe once they have acquired the TM at least once. To craft this TM, players must visit any Pokécenter to access its TM Machine. Next, they must navigate to Poison Tail and then provide the following materials:

  • League Points can be earned by exchanging items or dropped pocket monster materials at TM Machines.

  • Seviper Fangs can only be acquired by Sevipers, a Poison-type pocket monster that inhabits Areas Three and Five of the South Province, southeast of Mesagoza.

  • Seviper is weak to Ground- and Psychic-type attacks.

  • Shroodle Ink can be dropped by Shroodles or Grafaiais. Since Shroodle can be found in multiple locations across Paldea, pinpointing a choice farming location can be tricky. Instead, Trainers are encouraged to farm Shroodle Ink by defeating Wild Grafaiais, which only reside in the painted forests of the Tagtree Thicket.
