Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature species from generations one through nine, so a few old favorites appear alongside the cast of new critters. In addition, some classic Pokemon, such as Primeape and Girafarig, have received further evolutions that trainers won’t have encountered before, so it’s essential to get ahold of the new development to see how it differs from the original. However, that being said, the process of evolving these Pokemon is not as simple as it would’ve been during generation one, and Girafarig has a particular process that trainers will need to follow before they can meet Farigiraf. When Does Girafarig Evolve into Farigiraf in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Since Farigiraf is a new addition to generation nine, the method of evolution is brand new to trainers. Although most of the evolution can be quickly completed by fighting in trainer battles and leveling them up or giving them an item to hold, Girafarig does things a little differently. Instead, you will need to ensure your Girafarig knows the move Twin Beam and then focus on leveling it up. As soon as your Girafarig knows Twin Beam, you can level it up one more time, either with Rare Candy or use it in the battle to trigger the evolution process.
Much like Girafarig, Farigiraf is a Normal and Psychic build, so it can be a valuable addition to your team if you come up against any fierce fighting or poison-type Pokemon, especially during gym battles, the Elite Four, or when you finally get to face the Paradox Pokemon hidden across the region. Unfortunately, evolution is the only way trainers can get ahold of Farigiraf until the end of the game, since it does not spawn in the wild until the central storyline is complete, making the evolution process even more critical to follow if you want to have this Pokemon in your party when you face the Elite 4.
