Croagunk is a Poison- and Fighting-type Toxic Mouth Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that evolves into Toxicroak after reaching a specific level milestone. Trainers can encounter Wild Croagunks in the South Province (Area Five) in the zone east and northeast of Lost Platos. Croagunk also inhabits a small narrow patch of land in Area Two of the West Province, east of Porto Marinada and south of Casseroya Lake. The best way to search for this Toxic Mouth Pokémon would be to look near wet areas, such as lakes, rivers, and ponds. Eating a Noodle Sandwich will bolster Encounter Power for Poison-type pocket monsters, giving Trainers a better chance of finding Croagunk. 

Evolving Croagunk into Toxicroak in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Once Trainers have caught Croagunk, they can evolve it into Toxicroak in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet by leveling the Toxic Mouth Pokémon to Level 37. This leveling process can be conducted in a variety of ways, including Tera Raids, EXP Candy, or farming Chansey and Blissey, two pocket monsters that can be found in North Province (Area Three).

If players are at the start of their journey when they have caught Croagunk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the best way to quickly reach Level 37 for Toxicroak’s evolution would be by catching Wild Pokémon and battling NPC Trainers scattered across Paldea. According to sources at Game8, fighting pocket monsters that are at a higher level than Croagunk, in particular, will net players bonus EXP. The Let’s Go Auto-Battle mechanic is also a solid means of farming EXP, but Trainers should remember that this feature reduces the EXP reward received from defeating wild pocket monsters. 

Those who are already in the postgame portion of their playthrough can add Croagunk to their active party and battle pocket monsters within Area Zero, The Great Crater of Paldea. Defeating Pokémon in this area will grant an abundance of EXP for any lower-level pocket monsters. As for mid and endgame users, Tera Raids and the EXP Candy acquired from raiding are two of the best methods for leveling Croagunk to Level 37 to evolve it into Toxicroak in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
